Crashing Nanna!!!

No pictures for this blog. I wish that I had some. But at the moment, taking a picture wasn't on my immediate list of things to do. Last Friday at about 7:05am I was heading over to the track to meet a friend who wanted to run with me. I met her while training for my first marathon and she wanted to hear about this last one. I really just like running around town now that I am not training and I don't go as far but I told her I would be there around 7:00. Long story short, as I was turning left onto a 4 lane street BAM!!!! Totally my fault and I feel really bad for the lady that hit me. I don't think that she saw me at all. She didn't slow down and she said to the police that she was going 50 mph. She hit my door and I can't believe that I am still here to blog about it. I was really worried that Leslie was going to drive by and see it. I called Kelly who was out of town and no answer so I called home and Leslie answered. I told her not to worry but.....she needed to send Jan (my brother who was visiting) to this intersection. They took me by ambulance to the hospital where I found out no broken bones for me but my left shoulder is really banged up. Lots of bruises on my left side. The emt couldn't believe how fast news traveled. My phone rang 5 times during the ride. Thanks to my bishop who was at the hospital within an hour and Erikka and Melissa for coming and rescuing me since I didn't have a ride home. And thanks to all of you out there that made dinners and brought all of the treats by. And all of the people who called or came by to see how I was doing. But most of all thanks to Vicadin!!! JK Wow, am I lucky. But my poor car is SMASHED. Anyway, thought I would share! No need to worry because only bruises left...and now I have that feeling of wanting a few miniutes in time back so I could do things differently. I haven't heard from the girl I was meeting to run with and wonder if she thinks that I just blew her off on Friday. Oh well, I don't have her phone number. Hope she calls me back.

Goodness! I'm so glad you are OK!! How long is recovery with your shoulder! I bet Kelly was scared to death when he finally heard. Take care and I'm glad so many people are taking care of you and that Jan was there so quickly.

dad told me about it--scary! i was in the same kind of accident with Becca (yes your niece) and she was driving- i was the passenger- I still can't take a left hand turn without cringing.
I am so glad you are OK.
