Man it's hot!

August in Arizona!!!! AAAGGGHHHHH!!! This Weekend it was suppose to get to 114. I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have to run in it. 5 degrees makes so much difference. And cloud cover is such a sweet surpise. Last Tues. I ran 7 miles with no problem and was actually very excited and full of energy afterwards. I had run it faster than my usual but then on Friday I needed to run 10 miles and hated every minute of it. It was 91 degrees at 5:00 am on Friday, and only 79 on Tues. Makes a huge difference. Especially in my enjoyment level. I will run 15 miles this Tues. and will be praying for 80 degrees or less. My friend who runs faster than me is going to meet me at the track at 4:15 am. I will probably sleep the rest of the day. This year I am trying to train for hills. My calves are paying the price though. Better now than during the marathon, I say.

Okay now, reading this made me tired, but very impressed! Way to go! I struggle with running (actually fast walking) in 70 degree weather and I'm only up to 35 minutes! Keep us posted!

Sounds yucky! Portland is due to be in the low 100's for the next 2 days, and I don't plan to leave the airconditioned house. Don't know how you run in such awful heat. Keep it up though because you're doing great.

Bro & Sis. Ward,

sorry, i just cant go by amy and kelly...habit. anyway, thanks for sending me a quick note. life is sort of wierd sometimes huh. as tough as things have been lately, its been nice reconnecting with old friends. your daughter was always a good friend to me and continues to be, even though she's a traitor in Big-10 country. how can you let her develop allegiance to OSU. anyway, you must have done something right to have such great kids. maybe i'll have to come bug you down in AZ sometime. i'm due to visit for an ASU game this year. love the blog even though i'm struggling with the neil diamond music. lol!

Ward. sorry kelly if that's not funny :-) if i'm in town this winter i'd love to visit under two conditions. one, i'll need an address. two, i'll need access to the family photo album for an undisclosed period of time.....and a digital scanner. :-) .......and three, you can't tell angie. hahaha. scott_milam@comcast.net

We would have just missed you in Idaho Falls! We got there 11:00pm on the 6th. We were there until the 13th. It is a beautiful temple! And by the way how's the marathon training going? I don't remember when you said the marathon will be.

Sister Ward!! It's Stace. So good to hear from you. Yes, I am a mother...hard to believe. I never thought I would get to be 16 and now look at me :). It's crazy how we all are growing up. Thanks for the comment on my blog. It was fun remembering all of our good times. I love your blog and it's fun to see your fam and what everyone has been up to. By the way, props to you for running in that AZ heat.
