30 Years of marital bliss

We decided to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary by returning to our roots. We planned a trip back to the Idaho Falls Temple. It was so much fun!! We flew into Salt Lake City and spent one night in Park City. Hailey, Kyle and little D met us there which was really fun spending time with them. We then drove to Logan (which is one of many places that we are considering for retirement). We looked at condos, building lots on a golf course and pre-existing homes just to get a feel for the area. We also really enjoyed the next day when we drove to Bear Lake and looked at homes over looking the lake and the golf course....all along saying, "Wow wouldn't this be so great....then we would come to our senses and remind ourselves that is August not Nov, Dec., Jan.,Feb., March, or even April. Still that would be fun to have a place there for the summertime but who can afford that? We drove through Montpelier and took a trip down memory lane and talked about all of the Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July, Memorial etc., weekends we spent there in that small town and little home that Kelly grew up in. We also spent a little while paying tribute to his parents at the cemetary. On our drive to Idaho Falls we just had to stop at the Artic Circle in Soda Springs for a Huckleberry Shake. YUUUMMMMM On Saturday we woke up early and drove to the Temple. It was so beautiful and it seemed like a hunred years ago but at the same time only a few years ago that we were sealed in that very temple. After the session, we noticed a darling bride and groom in the foyer and had to smile at each other, both thinking, should we scare them and let them see what they have to look forward to in 30 years. We opted to let them enjoy the day and keep it to ourselves. After the temple we visited with friends that were actually married the same summer as us and still live in Rigby. Good times for us. Later that evening we drove to Blackfoot to spend the evening with Kari and Nate's fam, Hailey and Kyle's fam and Kari's parents and siblings. Everyone was in town for little Molly bug's blessing day. Sunday was so nice. Little Molly's blessing was wonderful and sweet and beautiful. Kari's parents invited us all to their brand new home that they built right on the Snake River where we all ate way too much. Thanks Trudy and Gail for bringing your families. It really means so much when family members go that totally extra mile. I was able to take a few (hundred) pics of Molly in her blessing dress which was so fun. What was really great was watching Dallin and Addie play perfectly together. That gets me very excited for Christmas when all of my kids and their kids will come home. Well, if my last post about my training didn't kill you from boredom, this probably sent you to snoozeville! Oh well, I have been getting some grief about not keeping up with my blog so .....
whatever!

Happy Anniversary! We love Idaho Falls, too! So did you see anythng in Logan area that you liked? It does have 4 distinct seasons -- although summer isn't anything like Arizona!
