A friend of mine wanted me to take some pictures of her daughter in her baptism dress. She was darling and loved the camera. It was so much fun. Here are a few of the pictures that I took

I left just enough color in this one so the yellow flowers stand out.

This is one of those pictures that just looks better as black and white.
A little casual but very sweet

Great photography! And the little one is pretty! So now we have another photographer in the family? The other ones I know of are: Kelly, Becca & Jason, and Shannon. I love looking at their pictures!
they turned out beautiful!
and what a gorgeous little model.
i bet they loved them!
What a great job on those photos! I'm glad you "lurked" on my site, because I already snooped at your site and found out that you guys are running a marathon! I think that is so great - congratulations! Looks like you are having all kinds of fun and keeping crazy-busy with all of your kids/grandkids. So fun!
As for the sexy-pants, I feel a little responsible....technically I could have stolen them, and just didn't take the opportunity, so I apologize for that. :) However, I'm glad Leslie is enjoying the legacy. And her lucky roommates, will joke about them for years to come.
Hi Aunt Amy. This is your niece Shannon. You are becoming such an amazing photographer. I love these baptism pictures and the pictures you took of Angie and Brett's little girl. I have a blog too. www.thew8clan.blogspot.com

The black background I use is just some black material I bought at IKEA and then I darken it in photoshop. I use a light set which makes the biggest difference. The white background is a white sheet. And the blue patterned background is material from IKEA as well. I hope that helps.
I use a light set for the pictures. The right lighting helps capture detail of my subject. Which is what I use a light set for. How fun that you are going to take a class. You will love it and it is fun to learn what you can do. I am still learning new tricks. You should take a photoshop class. When I take pictures on a black or white background I use the dodge/burn tool in photoshop CS3 to make it even whiter or blacker. Does that help?
These are amazing photos. They are lucky to know you so they can have these pictures to treasure forever.
